After a year of thorough preparation, numerous elimination competitions in the cities of Russia, CIS and the world, the annual youth robotics International Festival «RoboFinist 2015» took place on 19 — 20th of September. RoboFinist 2015 gathered over 950 teams of the most talented, interested in scientific and technical creative work children.
The aim of the Festival is to multiply the power of russian applied science, by the means of educating and developing young scientists and engineers to the glory of the Motherland.
The Festival allows to evaluate the achieved level, upgrade the qualification, set new aims for the next year and simply exchange experience with the colleagues.
Breathtaking competitions were held in 28 different categories: air race, stand-alone football, passing the hardest route of Central Research-and-development Institute of Robotics and Engineering Cybernetics, sumo battle and many others.
Creation of a robot — is not only months’ of laborious work, but also creative implementation of complicated engineering idea and bright fantasies of a young scientist.
For all visitors of International Festival «RoboFinist 2015» interesting robots’ programming workshops were organized. For the teachers — science and education symposium and lecturing. Besides, young robot technicians met a hero of Russia pilot-austronaut Borisenko Andrey Ivanonovich.

Besides, within the frames of the Festival, an absorbing practical robotics olympiad for children of middle and senior age categories took place.
During just 180 minutes the children needed to solve 3 unusual robotics tasks. Maximum 3 people could work in a team. The condition — no searching for hints in the Internet. Though the software, kits, provided by the organizers and, of course, own head-piece could be used with no limitations!
Needless to say, that the kids were really involved and excited.

During the breaks between the competitions, children could spend time in the interactive zone — take part in captivating contests, experience a real adventure in the «rope city», jump on trampoline or ride push-bicycles.
